In January of 2011 I employed Mark Anderson to replace an existing garden gate and build a substantial new wall. This involved creating concrete foundations, the wall itself incorporating a central pier and topped with concrete coping stones. I found Mark to be entirely reliable and trustworthy-he worked whole days without the presence from my wife or myself. he was punctual in the mornings and kept us fully informed whenever foul weather prevented ongoing work. The original estimate was strictly adhered to and the quality of the work judged excellent. The site was cleaned thoroughly daily and fully on completion. I have no hesitation in recommending his services.

“We live in a Grade 2 listed property in a Conservation Area. Front brick and flint wall damaged by fallen mature tree. Mark’s quotation to obtain planning permission to demolish and rebuild most of the wall frontage by reutilising all the same bricks, duly cleaned up, was accepted by insurers. Mark then applied on my behalf for the necessary planning permission which he obtained. It was a big job but I am delighted with the finished wall – both front and reverse. Mark is very professional, highly skilled (very experienced in using lime mortar), dedicated and I cannot speak highly enough of the quality of his work. Was very organised in how he tackled the job and kept the site as clear and clean as possible each day. Kept at it without taking a day off until this large project was finished (0800 – 1700 daily, Monday – Friday plus other visits if frost was likely). Highly recommended.”
